National Jamboree is filling up… please check with your scouts to see who may want to attend.

FRIENDS OF SCOUTING SIGNUPS… WE NEED TO KEEP UP THE GOOD EFFORTS AND SUPPORT THE COUNCIL SERVICES WHICH INCLUDE YOUR CAMPING COSTS AND INSURANCES. PLEASE SIGN UP TONIGHT IF YOU KNOW YOUR BLUE AND GOLD OR TROOP FAMILY NIGHT OR COURT OF HONOR DATE.

NEW CAREER EXPLORING PROGRAM:  Jameson Hospital has started an exploring program in health careers. If you know teens that are interested in a medical or health career have them contact Marcie Patton at the hospital for more information.

Order of the Arrow elections must be completed now to March. Check the e-letter for additional information.

Troops and Packs are invited to hold a signup night or open house anytime… now through spring. It would be great to have new members join us in time to plan to attend one or more of our spring or summer programs. Contact John Whitford for additional information or support.

Spring ‘Scouting for Nuts’ coming… will members of your unit need help to find the funds to attend camp this year? The council will be announcing a spring opportunity with high commissions to assist your members and your unit to raise needed funds. More information soon…

Camp promotion: That time of year again… generally it is best to do this along with your Friends of Scouting promotion.

Journey to Excellence: Units have turned in their forms, you may order your recognitions at the service center store. Call Cindy at 724-287-6791

Spring Training: Baloo, SM and Sa indoor session at the Preston Center March 10 and the followup outdoor session for Webelos and SM/ASM training will be at Agawam on April 27-28. Plan now and be fully trained for your JTE requirements for 2012.

FAMILY CAMP CIVIL WAR THEME, COME CELEBRATE THE 150^TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CIVIL WAR. This is also our Spring Camporee Weekend. Scouts will be hiking and camping this weekend but we can use both youth and adult help with the family camp program… contact Bruce Gibson or John Whitford.
